Since 2020, Italy has developed a new artistic-literary movement, the Empathic Movement, that is rapidly spreading internationally. To summarize this, the periodization can be divided into three key stages: 2000-2020 (Pre-Empathism ) (which also includes the New Manifesto on the Arts, 2019), 2020-2025 (Total Art), and 2026 onward (Total Empathy).

The dialogue, always interdisciplinary, now reaches a further reflection proposed by some of the movement’s major protagonists, who gather in the symbolic Florentine Literary Café to take stock of the beginning of a new phase that opens not only to empathy for others but also to the environment, technology, and every other possible aspect of the universe.

Talking about it with the founder Menotti Lerro, who will moderate the meeting, Mateen Ashraf, Xhovalin Delia, Francesco D’episcopo, Omar Galliani, Tomasz Krezymon, Massimo Orsini, Maria Rita Parsi, Antonello Pelliccia, Vincenzo Pepe, Mario Pirovano, Vittorio Santoianni, Santino Scarpa, Lino Vairetti.

Among the themes, proposed through the 32 Empathic Theses, are the return of the figure of the artist as a guide, the fight against rampant Narcissism, the reunification of the arts, the technique of the Empathic Correlative, the passage from the lyrical self to the porous self, the rejection of the Western logical-rationalistic model, promoting instead a new humanism that is also contributing to territorial elevation.

On this occasion, the Cilento International Poetry Prize will be awarded to poet Roberto Deidier and musician Santino Scarpa (Gulliver).
